ODC Team & Partners at the Octoberfest

On October 2nd the ODC Team went to their annual Oktoberfest visit. Everybody drank several litres of milk and so we had a extra productive friday.
ODCOmnibus available in Poland an Netherlands
(July, 31st, 2009)
ODC Services GmbH announces the launch of two new countries in its international online omnibus. The ODCOmnibus runs on a monthly basis amongst a national representative sample. Additionallly to Germany, France, Italy, Spain and UK, the omnibus is now available in Poland and the Netherlands.

Team ODC/Skopos at the Velonale in Mumich
(July 29th 2009)
After the successfull participation at the at the "classic bycicle tour" around Cologne, a small team of ODC and Skopos Employees (Dominic Fumelli, Christoph Irmer and Marcus Dreyer) started at the next bycicle race in Munich. The times were pretty good, about one and a half hour for 60 km. For Dominic the race was kind of a warmup for an important football game. Unfortunately he got injured at the game. Next time better only do the cycling!
ODC at the "Cologne classic"

On Easter Monday Christoph Irmer participated as a representative of ODC services at the "classic bycicle tour" around Cologne.
With a time of 1:37 for 60km he arrived with the "peloton", but according to his own statements it was definitely fun!

We're looking forward to welcome new team members at ODC Services at March 1st.
Babak Soori will join us as Junior Panel Manager. His responsibilities comprise development und administration of our online panel, opinion people. Thanks to his working experience at komdat.com und wissen.de he brings extensive online marketing knowledge.
Additionally Jonathan Vargas Ruiz will join the Project-Management team as an Internal. The Venezuelan speaks five languages and has international experience in customer service and marketing.
Putting contest at the ODC trade show stand

The lucky winner of this year's putting contest at our stand at the Research & Results market research trade show is Mr. Sönke Stadermann from Tchibo GmbH in Hamburg. With 4 from 5 successful putts and as the lucky winner of the prize draw, Mr. Stadermann can choose between a trial golfing session, a cookery course a hot stone massage. Our congratulations to Mr. Stadermann. We look forward to seeing you at Research & Results 2009!
ODC Workshop: "Ganzheitliches Qualitätsmanagement"

The workshop from Christoph Irmer and Mathias Peichl during this year's Research & Results market research trade show on the subject of "Ganzheitliches Qualitätsmanagement in Online Access Panels", received very positive feedback. The workshop participants experienced what we understand as a "holistic approach" and how quality is adopted into all that we do at ODC Services.

2. ODC Royal Flush Invitational
(November 17th 2008)
After last year's huge success, ODC Services GmbH organised a 2nd ODC Royal Flush Invitational on the eve of the Research & Results trade show in Munich. With the goal of winning the tournament in mind, around 30 colleagues, clients, friends and suppliers played with tension, ambition but also a great deal of fun. The total collected starting fees of 235 Euros were donated to our godchild in Kambodscha.

ODC Panelist Motivation Score©

ODC adopts Panelist Motivation Score©, as a result of this method, the member's willingness to participate can be stabilized or even improved. The tendency to give false answers is reduced and a lower rate of deregistration can be observed.

So above all the panels were developed by intensified recruiting measures. Additionally ODC is proud to announce the launch of a further panel in Belgium.

"ODC No-Dopes" enter Munich Company Triathlon
(July 22th, 2008)
The "ODC No-Dopes" are entering the Munich Company Triathlon which takes place on 27th July.
The team, consisting of Michael Baierl (running), Ben Hill (Swimming) and Christoph Irmer (cycling) have to complete the Olympic distance of 1.5km swimming, 40km cycling and finish off with 10km running. Word has it, due to the current fitness of the 3 men, that the most fitting motto is: "It's taking part that counts"!

Note: Dear customer, please note that following our experiences during the summer holidays the response rates at surveys are dropping significantly. This may have some influence on the field time.

Panellist Motivation Model helps avoiding lower response rates and quality

If panel participants do not belong to the target groups of surveys several times consecutively, this may have a negative effect on the willingness to participate and on the quality of answers in surveys.
With a scoring model, panelists, who didn't qualify for a survey due to target group restrictions, are invited to high incidence surveys preferably. This way several consecutive screenouts shall be avoided. Negative effects, as described above, shall be eliminated or at least minimized.

On June 5 and 6, 2008, experts in marketing, media and opinion research as well as marketing, sales promotion and media will get together as guests of the BVM at the 43rd Congress of German Marketing Research held at the CongressCenter Hamburg (CCH). As a Main Sponsor ODC Services will contribute to the success of the meeting with an Internet Lounge. We're looking forward to meet with our friends and customers at this highlight of the market research industry and are expecting two exciting and successfull days. ODC with lectures at the German society for online research (DGOF) conference
(April 2nd 2008)
The German society for online research (DGOF) once again organized their annual conference on the innovations and studies from the world of online market studies to be introduced and discussed. ODC services contributed with two lectures to the program and to the discussion: The first lecture, "A Panelists Scoring Model for at Even Allocation of Surveys with Different Incidences" from Christoph Bender, was about a calculated motivation level for panelists. In the second lecture, "Respondent Authenticity" , held by Bernd Wachter (Psyma) and Christoph Bender, the authentication of users by their typing behavior was introduced. Both lectures were appreciated and led to exciting discussions.
Further highlights of ODC's visit to Hamburg were a football game at the famous "Millerntor" stadium and the GOR Party at the "Funky Pussy Club".

Christian Sothmann and Olde Lorenzen-Schmidt, .comdirect AG, won the "Best Practice in der betrieblichen Online-Marktforschungs-Praxis" award. The prize was awarded in context of this year's GOR conference in Hamburg.
Sothmann and Lorenzen Schmidt convinced jury and public equally with their lecture "Lead-optimierte Antragsprozesse im A/B-Test", which presented a method where improvements in lead quantity and usability settings can be made measurable via real life test scenarios in analogy to a/b test method on quantitative and qualitative level .

Michael Baierl is our new Senior Sales Manager in the ODC Services GmbH team since March 1st. His responsibilities comprise aquisition of prospects and customer support. Thanks to his working experience as Sales Manager at Greenfield Online Inc. and Managing Partner of Panelbiz GmbH he brings extensive industry knowledge.
At April 15th, 2008, 35 year old Ben Hill will join ODC Services as Sales Director. Task of the native born English will be development of the sales team and conception and coordiation of our business internationalization. Prior to joining ODC he was Sales Manager at Behringer International GmbH.
Mariana Chaumont will join the Panel-Management team as Support Agent. The Argentine speaks five languages and has international experience in customer service and marketing and will be responsible for the opinion people panelsupport.

GP and ODC analysing trends

The social science and market research institute GP Forschungsgruppe and ODC Services scrutinized current trends and long-term values and attitudes in Germany. The study named "Zeitsensor" (in german only) has the aim to be much more than just a standard trendletter.
