The Insight Show in London will take place at a different location this year, namely the Grand Hall Olympia. The exhibition is one of the year's major events in the market research world and is intended for buyers and sellers alike. This run of international conferences took place in 2009 for the 11th time and is the largest series of events on the topic of online research. It is carried out by The German Society for
Online Research (DGOF) and ran from 6th - 8th April at the university of Wien.
GORs goal is to present the newest research findings and innovative developments in all areas of online research to a broad international audience. International Scholars and practitioners in the area of online research are cordially invited. ODC was represented at the round table "Online Data Collection" and was involved as co-writer for a lecture from Stefan Laufer from Globalpark on the effect of flash questions in online surveys. On June 5 and 6, 2008, experts in marketing, media and opinion research as well as marketing, sales promotion and media will get together as guests of the BVM at the 43rd Congress of German Marketing Research held at the CongressCenter Hamburg (CCH). Themed "Convergence, Communication and Consumer: Advertising and Media in the 'Attention Society'", the congress will feature discussions of speakers and congress participants about the latest trends, novel insights and innovative instruments in advertising and research of media impacts.

From March 10 to 12, GOR 2008 will open its gates in Hamburg to online researches all over Germany and Europe this year where the latest developments and trends in the wide filed of online research will be discussed. "Good quality, good business" is the headline this year at the Esomar Panel Research Conference in Orlando, October 28th to 30th. As the Online Panel Research industry continues to grow, so does the media attention surrounding online research. Thus it is more important than ever to take away client concerns and establish the integrity of panel research. At this year General Online Research Conference in Leipzig Christoph Irmer and Mathias Peichl (ODC) presented, together with Dr. Olaf Wenzel (Skopos GmbH & Co.KG), a poster dissertation about Paneloverlap.It is important to ensure that members of a panel as possible are not registered in other panels. This is so that we can minimise the risk of multiple answers (if clients conduct their studies with several panel suppliers) and keep the number of so-called "incentive-hunters" in the panel to a minimum. In order to find out how high the panel-overlap with other panel suppliers actually is, ODC Services conducted an internal study. Using the RRT method (Randomised Response Technique), a panel-overlap of 4% is found with 707 respondents in the German opinion people panels. With the RRT method, we don't ask about participation in our panels in the usual way. In fact, we use special question technology to achieve realistic values about sensitive topics. This low score of 4% confirms our belief that we should continue to recruit actively and use as varied a range of recruiting sources as possible (offline and online). The 42nd Congress of German Market Research will take place in June, 28th and 29th, in Frankfurt am Main. The Congress will deal with the topics "Brand and Brand Value" and "Brand Communication". Brands are value drivers and more and more the most valuable future asset of a company. The Congress of German Market Research will deal with current questions of brand development and -leading. This year at the GOR in Bielefeld, 400 visitors were able to exchange innovative developments and practical experiences in the field of internet, - online- and mobile communication. ODC Services presented a large agenda with information about their services to their clients. On this years may, the 4th and 5th, Nuremberg was the meeting point for market researchers from all over Germany and neighbour countries. The congress dealt with chances and risks of new information- and communication-media for the business. Furthermore there was a gala diner with the german market research award ceremony and the trade fair, where institutes and market research providers, ODC Services amongst them, presented their company.
