Yesterday saw a great occasion take place……no not just the sensational way in which England progressed to the last 16 of the Worldcup, but the ODC Worldcup party!
Taking central stage at the grill was Christoph Irmer, who showed that even though the Germans are not quite Weltmeisters ( yet) they certaintly are Grillmeisters!
Everybody chipped in providing Salads and Desserts, all washed down with plentiful amounts of Beer.

The English contingent, were already celebrating the fact that they had progressed, but there was still all to play for for the Germans as the Game kicked off.

The tensions mounted, until a beautifully struck left footed shot by Özil ( a very close look alike to Golem from Lord of the Rings) relaxed the audience. As the game came to an end, there was a dawning reallisation amongst the assembled multi-national crowd, that an interesting duel between England and Germany was due to take place that following Sunday. Everyone was in fine voice, and the singing of various football chants carried on into the night.

Lots of fun was had by all, but it is clear to say that on Monday either 90% of the office are going to be happy with the result, or…maybe just maybe..England continue their march towards world cup glory!
